The success story of this 4-star hotel in the Arlberg region began with its founder, Martin Jochum (born 1885). On 28 January 1928, Martin Jochum passed the licensing examination for the hospitality and pub trade, thereby laying the foundations for one of the most historic hotels in the exclusive holiday village of Lech.

| 1976 | Construction of the Tannberg Bar, relocation of the reception and restaurant, extension with 2 new hotel suites |

| 1990 | Sale of the Bernhard guesthouse |
| 1999 | Death of Hilde Jochum Veronika Heller (daughter of Hilde Jochum) accepts her inheritance and transfers management to hotel manager Karl Wiener |
| 1999 | Expansion of the sauna area: sauna, steam room, solarium, whirlpool & larger massage room Connection to the Lech biomass heating plant |
| 2001 | Extensive refurbishment & modernisation of the basement and ground floor: creation of a new disco, a restaurant and a spacious reception area with a multimedia seminar room. |
| 2002 | All technical systems are upgraded with an efficient network comprising 2,000 m of data cabling, as well as a new digital telephone system and internet connection in every room. Completion of the €2.62 million refurbishment in November 2002, celebrated with a huge party featuring a live band. |
| 2004 | Peter Steinwidder takes over as managing director |
| 2005 | 22–23 August: The basement area is destroyed by flooding. Renovation is completed in record time thanks to local residents and volunteers who travelled from afar. |
| 2007 | Renovation of the guest rooms in a country house style, new thermal insulation and a passenger lift on all floors |

| 2022 | Purchase of new mattresses, televisions and curtains, as well as redesign of the living areas in all rooms Installation of opaque windows along the sun terrace on the first floor |
| 2023 | Refurbishment of the hotel lobby, Tannberg Bar and relaxation room in the sauna area |
| 2024 | Renovation of 8 staff rooms in Haus Bernhard and refurbishment of the Tannberg Pub, as well as installation of a new sound system |
| 2025 | Redesign of the restaurant area at the outdoor bar and purchase of a new dishwashing machine |
| 2026 | Conversion of all cooling systems to a central cooling system with heat recovery, which is used to heat the water. This will result in a saving of around one-third of heating energy. |
